Despite chilly weather and intermittent rain Saturday afternoon, 10-26-2013, there was a big turnout at the Lake Balboa Pavillion in Hot Springs Village for a “meet the candidates” opportunity … more than a year before the November 2014 General Election.

The event was jointly sponsored by the Village Republicans, Village Republican Women, and the Village T.E.A. Party. Featured speakers included Second District Congressman Tim Griffin,  US Rep. Tom Cotton, candidate for U.S. U.S. Senate, AR Rep. Bruce Westerman, candidate for Fourth District Congress, and three gubernatorial candidates:  Rep. Debra Hobbs, Curtis Coleman, and Asa Hutchinson. Numerous Saline and Garland County candidates and current office holders were in attendance as well, affording concerned citizens an abundant opportunity to “meet the candidates”.
